yea i totally met my bf on match.com (as i was typing this just now, i accidently put craigslist LOL!) i didnt tell that many people at first how we met because i was embarrassed.
anyway it was when i was living on my own in ft. lauderdale last year and i was going to the gym every night and doing the whole single thing. i wasn't meeting anyone though and i was kinda bored and wanted to go on dates so i was like fuck it. i made myself a profile and i went on 2 dates before i met patrick. the first date was like oh hell no. this little boca raton jew boy who drove a corvette. he seemed a lot funnier/cool on the phone before we met but then in person i wasn't even remotely physically attracted to him. he leaned over and kissed me too on the first date never called him again or heard from him after that.
then the 2nd guy i met, it just turned into great sex and a 2 month long fling. he was a really hot fire fighter. funnily enough, he recently messaged me on aim and was like, "hey what's up with u? do u still have a boyfriend? i hope you're happy, bla bla bla" LOL asshole. god he was so hot though and we had a really strong music connection which was great, but oh well.
so then after that fling, i said fuck match.com and i cancelled my thing. then my girlfriend in miami calls me a day later and said "ok....so i'm trusting you here and i finally made a match.com profile" i had been bugging her to do it with me and she wouldn't. then i was going on dates and she was like, "hmm ok i'll try it".
so she urged me to sign up one more time and i reluctantly did it. and that's when i met patrick. before, i was just seeing who contacted me and going with it that way, but this time i decided to fill out the whole search option about what exactly i'm looking for and patrick's profile was like the 3rd one and i "winked" at him lol he responded right away and we emailed/text for about a week and then met up with a big group of friends that weekend. i told him i really didn't want it to be a serious date and that a group thing would take the pressure off and he was totally cool with it and brought his roommate at the time and i brought a couple that i'm friends with.
we got drunk and danced and talked all night and kissed at the end of the night and then the next day he text me in the morning and asked if i wanted to go jet skiing (shut up all of u right now lol) and i said hell yea.
and we're living happily ever after
