Here's what I sort of standard have on my Cubase master:
1. Sonalksis EQ - Highpass filter @ 30Hz
5: TLS-Maximizer (free) - To boost the track to a decent RMS value
6: TT Dynamics Meter (free) - To meter the RMS value
7: s(m)exoscope (free) - To meter the dynamics
8: Waves PAZ Analyzer - A spectral analyzer, also viewing the stereo-image
Mostly, it's metering I have on the masterbus, no compression or limiting in any kind of way, I do that in my mix.
