Is hardstyle a Dutch word? I've never heard it here.

I think Acid Trance is the best way to define Kai Tracid, even if it's not totally accurate, as it's more a combination with hard trance. His music has plenty of 303's for a trance track, but also has the bass that you get with hard trance.

A lot of people seem to call all sorts of music techno. I saw on a TV Chart music programme today someone describe Scooter as techno! Fucking hell!

For a while I didn't actually know what techno was, but if you download some stuff from Dave the Drummer, Chris Liebing, Umek, Ben Sims, Christian Valera, and so on, you will definitely see a big difference between this and any type of trance.

yes, those are good examples. i also recommend DLing dj rush/adam beyer's sets to get a good idea of what HARD TRIBAL TECHNO really stands for. those guys are simply inimitable
