seems far...I'm not planning on renting a car.
Its not near the bay, as its name might imply. Its actually directly behind the sports arena. From the gaslamp you would take the 5 north, to the 8 west, to Sports arena blvd. turn left. and left on Hancock st.
You would def. need a cab, if you are not renting a car.
If you are staying in the gaslamp, I would go for the yardhouse. Might not be any Brazilians there but at least they should have the game, and you can grab a drink.

Yeah I just looked for it and it's quite a ways...and yeah the back of some building by the arena. Might just find a more local joint to where I am staying. Out of curiosity, where are all the Brazilians from in SD? In SF, they are all from Goiás.

I have met a lot of Brazilians from southern Brazil: Porto Alegre, Curitiba, Florianopolis etc.

They probably prefer S. California because of the beaches...
You're lucky to meet someone from Rio up here (My wife is born there, but lived in SP for 10 years). I heard there is a fairly decent Brazilian community in SD (and of course LA).

Parebens Brasil!
Awesome goal in 88th minute...but not the most impressive play throughout the match. S Africa was there the whole time.
Now I have the ultimate dilemna Sunday hehe.

I might get f*cked on this one. If it takes away from Zoo/Seaworld time that is... Unfortunately, although Brazilian, my wife prefers animals over sports. Sigh. Is there a sports bar in either of those places? LOL.
Seriously if I do, it will probably be somewhere in the gaslamp, will have to stake it out tomorrow night.
oh btw, any info on that open svedka bar signup?
