Was afraid he was going to go this route... I'm so tired of the latin/tribal/mezcia tech house sound.

Yea quite disappointing if true. I know he can come up with something much more interesting than that. Looks like he went with mostly club-oriented Rekids material (and 3 fucking Michel Cleis tracks - I mean Cleis is one of my favorite new producers this year but come on are you in love with him or something Matt??).

this would be the most "commercial" tracklist in fabric history if it is the real thing.

Agree, it's now becoming annoying.

Yet Another back catalogue...label whore self and friend pat on the back mix CD? I'm not a fan of bashing trends, but this trend consistently nets poor results, what happened to the idea that as a DJ, you are to dig for the best tracks that make that moment in time memorably enjoyable? I guess this is what the mix compilation has become for many compilations and labels. I think its a product of poor alternative marketing in EDM, so DJs who happen to be Label Owners have to pimp their own stuff or their friends stuff whenever the chance arrives. Sure there is a gain of some extra exposure through this nepotism, but at the cost of making a CD that earns you no respect as a DJ, by putting out a average to poor effort. I dont why a DJ would want to limit themselves when given an opportunity to do a compilation. Its the chance to shine...and show knowledge...why waste it for some extra exposure for the label?

This is also a product of Producers that have become DJs due to being Producers, that should not be DJs that get to do mix compilations. Plain and Simple...there should be a raising of standards for Producer turned DJs...moar obstacle courses.

Anyhow...have to wait to hear it.

Okay, I guess it's understandable now.

The club has the best sound system in the UK and this gives me the opportunity to really stretch out tracks and experiment with different sounds and atmospheres.

From that moment on, I could feel the magik flowing through my veins while listening to the music that Tijs carefully samples and produces. His creativity allows him to develop the concepts of songs that bring life and energy to people around the world.

I bought this track on vinyl and I hate it. Thank god the a-side is slightly better than mediocre.
