i haven't been in one in maybe 10+ years...but it doesn't surprise me. it was always the frat boy/surfer type of crowd when i went...
yea still is, nothing wrong with that kind of crowd. i go to sharkeez in HB and Newport and its always packed and tons of hot girls, cant complain about that

Or in the alternative, the competitions fault for setting up EDM nights on Thursday nights when they can chose any other night of the week like a Friday or Saturday night...but instead they chose Thursday nights to spite Giant.
how is that their fault? because Giant cant compete? so they should change nights and not venues. moving isnt gonna change anything, Giant is still gonna spend more money on Djs then they bring in. ilounge is free thursday, they bring in house djs and usually pack the place, how is giant trying to compete by charging 10$ or more. they have to change more than just venues to succeed, but thats just my opinion i guess

I kinda think ilounge has a decent amount of impact on Giant in OC. For one its aimed toward the same crowd, and secondly its in the same area. Granted iLounge doesn't bring as big as talent as Giant does, but when you get to see someone decent for free how can you complain?
I have driven up from San Diego a few times to the iLounge and a couple of times for Giants events, and it seems like i have had more fun at iLounge. My only complaint about there is the dance floor is pretty tiny so when a decent DJ comes down its gets super packed. But then again most the crowd leaves around 1230 anyways so it clears out a bit...

Yeah the first time I went to Ilounge a like two weeks ago, this guy kept following me around and asking me if he could by me a drink I told him I don't know how many times no thank so he bit me and hard too. I had the biggest bruise on my arm (actually I still have it) I will never go back there.

Speaking of Ilounge, The Spazmatics are there tomorrow night (Tuesday night) for free. I'd check them out if you like 80's music. Really good band, they even dress like nerds, with headbands and helmets.
