Hmm.. Interesting.
Never heard of xanax relieving tinnitus, and I've had on/off tinnitus since 2002. And I've done xanax before, during and after that period (I had tinnitus daily for years, but it's slowly starting to disappear, and atm I haven't even thought about it for months).. But when it's on, it's on. I never found anything that would have helped.
I'm not a doctor so I'm probably talking out of my ass, but if x relieves it, the cause of it has to be in some muscle(s) in or around your ear.
Psychosomatic tinnitus, now that'd be something
If diazepam does the trick, take that instead. Both get you hooked big time, but in my experience diazepam is NOTHING compared to xanax. That shit will get you hooked twice as fast and twice as ugly. |
I just took 0.5 mg of Xanax and that seemed to do that trick. I don't think I'd take anymore than that, and don't recall a Xanax hangover the next. I'm probably just the guy to take this because I get worked up and stressed over nothing all the time even when I appear to be calm. Xanax does reliev muscles but I thought it reduces some sort of tension in the brain...perhaps easing random or fucked up neural firing random sine waves into my brain somewhere.
How is diazepam different than xanax? Is it the same just better modified? Again I'm not hooked on Xanax. I'll just take it once or twice a month like when I'm about to go on a plane or when the Tinnitus is becoming obnoxiously loud.
Probably best to go see an ENT...need to find a good one in LA, and one that doesn't look up my nose and say "Do you snort coke? It's okay if you do. We all snort coke here at the office and so do all my patients" (true story and I will never see another Beverly Hills doctor again).
