The show ends on a dismal note, claiming that the prison system of the UK is far too small to incarcerate all those revealed to be beast******s; the entire population. It's been on in Canada for a month or so now. TBH, I haven't enjoyed it. It is nice seeing a justice system more akin to the Canadian portrayed; however, it lacks the punch of the original... could just be because I have no attachment to these characters. I imagine if it does run in the US it will fail because Americans will have a great deal of difficulty following the UK slang and court proceedures; subsequently, they will have a hard time following the story... and it seems that US television audiences won't watch something unless it's easy to follow.
