It's not just effort. Effort does not equal outcome. I think everybody here understands your frustration, but it takes most people years to get that truly "pro" sound, and that's with a lot of talent (not saying you don't have any, I don't know you, but natural talent expedites the process).
The difference here is that those people take failures or marginal improvements as motivation to hone their skills, whereas people like you blame their tools or whoever/whatever else they can point the finger at.
I see this attitude everywhere. In systems, people blather on about Microsoft and clueless management. In trading, people cry about manipulation. On the road, other drivers "came out of nowhere". People who can't get in shape, blame it on their body type and assume that the bodybuilders all take steroids. In business, they'll cite unfair competition and a bad consumer economy. And in media production, producers blame it on the software and assume that the professionals have magical tools that just sound better than anything the amateurs have access to.
And not once in their lives do any of these people ever stop to consider that the majority of the pros all had to face the same challenges. They had to put in a ridiculous amount of work, often because it represented their livelihood, and deal with failure after failure after failure, but they didn't give up on it, because they assumed that the problem must have been with them and was therefore solvable.
You can feel free to pat yourself on the back for getting responses because you bitched like a girl, but you would have gotten better responses if you'd approached the discussion maturely. And you'll definitely get better results in your actual production efforts if you grow up.
Last but not least, I'm somehow not surprised that you found a way to discount the example(s) you've listened to so far as being shit. I bet that if somebody handed you a sample and didn't tell you whether or not it was hardware or software, you wouldn't be able to tell, but as long as it's labeled as software, you're going to say it doesn't sound good. Once you learn to get over yourself, then you can start to improve. |
Thank you for providing no FLPs and bringing absolutely NOTHING to the topic on hand.
You seem to have read a thread titled "I need to be pyschoanalyzed by a Dr. Phil wannabe".
Seriously, the topic is clear and simple and so are the things I asked. Go back and read as it was all clearly stated. If I'm imature, your inability to pay attention to detail and direction makes you what?
