Levels is...decent...damn better than a lot of the shite dominating the charts at the moment. It sounds absolutely nothing like...a billion and one similar tracks in this big-room style. I always had a soft spot.

This is wicked man. I'm a sucker for good grooves and melodies and this delivers.

Yeah, this is a great mix Adam, super smooth tunes. I've given it about 4 listens now, and it's going to get plenty more.

Nice work Adam. I found some of the transitions a bit jarring, such as the one at 35:40, but there was nothing in there that really ruined the flow of the mixing.
Your real strength with this mix is that you've gone for such incredibly melodic tracks. A lot of deep house/deep tech can becoming boring when it's just loops and loops of percussion with little melody, but you've avoided that trap admirably. The mix held my attention the whole way through because of this; some of the melodies were sheer bliss.
The track at the 33 minute mark reminded me of Wakanapi.
You should check out Little Big Bee's work on beatport if you like this kind of music. Their album Waterman is really fantastic.
this did make me want to leave work today and go to the hotel de la montagne's roof for some lunchtime cocktails. who knows maybe i will and skip the rest of the day.
the track selection was very well pulled off. Some of the mixing was a little umm "funny", but good tracks and mood are good enough to make this a must listen to for those of you who would like something nice to have as background music.
do you have a controller yet? or is this still point and click mixing?

Thank you for giving this a go. I will in fact listen to your slow psy mix on the way home today and will have feedback later. I am quite excited as I haven't
listened to good psy in a long time.
I'm glad that you enjoyed my mix and felt that the track selection was interesting. Usually when I make a mix (one I plan to do anyway) I'll devote 90% of
my effort to finding good tracks and arranging them in the best way possible. I kind like to think that when I do this, the tracks sort of mix themselves
(I'm sure you now what I mean). This is often the case, and I guess that method has its disadvantages.
And I agree about the overly loopy music that's been making the rounds recently. I too have started to become a bit bored of it. Will definitely be checking out
your recommendation later as well.
Jay:
Of course I am really happy that you felt I had put together something that you feel is quite good, especially to the point that you'd recommend it to others.
As I said above, it's really all track selection and the mixing has taken somewhat of a backseat, however not to the point where it was neglected in any way.
I am currently using hot keys to mix (lamesauce, I know) and as you can hear I have (ab)used the fuck out of the low kill in this mix. Controller is coming next week
though
