I stopped reading when I got this far.
Anyone who would tear down a huge boon to the city's economy for no better reason than "It's an eyesore" is probably the same type of person who votes for douchebags like Adam Vaughn.
Tearing it down is a horrible idea, if anything, it should be extended to seamlessly connect with the DVP. And then it should be used as the boundary beyond which no tall-ass buildings should be built, so as to keep the lake shore useable, and not simply filled with expensive condo units.
