agree on calypso as a closer. but i went into it without knowing what i wanted to do and just kinda pulled records at random from memory of what they were like.

tracks 10 & 11 don't really fit, but they're fun and give a bit more energy towards the end of the set. other than that it was a pretty fun mix to make.

thanks for listening

Final got done listening to this mix, Denys. This was fantastic, I'm really starting to get into this sound myself, so it was right up my alley. Love the thick bassline of the 2nd track. Mixing was top notch as usual, and the flow was awesome. Well done, man. This is going on the ipod for repeated listens.

thanks chris.

i wouldn't say i'm getting into the sound myself. just something different to try out for the summer.

i'm gathering stuff for my fall mix right now, gonna pump it out early, and you can bet it'll be nothing but deep proggy house goodness.

of course, not my style. BUT i didn't find myself saying "omg this sucks lolololol bullcrap"

no.

in fact i liked it

last tune was my fav as far as style goes, but the mixing was on point and the tracks started out sufficiently wonky to let me know where it was goin

First of all I want to tell you that i have checked out to most of you season mixes , almost gave up on you man... , But with this one i can conclude that this is the best stuff that i've heard from you

I have listened to this many many times dude, how you built it up up until "kalimba" was brilliant mate it is the highlight of the mix , layer after layer of beats , it made it interesting to keep listening to .

Not that i dont like " el baile aleman " but for some reason it seemed liek the phrasing sounded kind of weird when it did the intro right after " kalimba" So i felt like the flow there was a little bit cut . Then the mixing was tight when the luciano track came on but I agree with you and Jay its more of a ending track . So is " around the angel "

toward the end the flow kept goign fine , I lol at the track "Disco Monk" becuase it's a sample from this disco-tech gay band boy from spain called " locomia " .

check out the video its worth the lulz

i hope you keep doing more mixes like this one denys

cheers mate
