Yeah, QLD is fucking... weird, or fucking something. Brisbane isn't too bad these days (it used to be a lot worse). Cairns (or anywhere north past the Sunshine Coast, frankly) is another story altogether.

I like the nature aspect a lot, but too often the people ARE the nature, and it's disturbing.

Plus, my gf's parents live in Cairns, so we never go there
