Listened to this last night (in the office) on shitty PC speakers at low volume, and heard some interesting parts, but found myself overall bored.
Listening to it now at a decent volume on (still shitty) headphones, and wow. This set is really cool now that I can actually hear what all is going on.
Lots of groove, lots of funk, lots of techy elements... big sound. Totally dig it, great job.
Also, I liked the use of the Lumidee acapella in this (I thought it was fun, nothing wrong with indulging in a little bouncy fun.) However, strange that this is being dug up after a few years. (I heard this somewhere else recently... an RA podcast, maybe?) Still, very well used.
Keeping this one around for a bit.

So that alone would be about 5 tracks?
Whatever works for you. Separate would be a lot of work...and would take away the beauty of your mixing anyways. We shouldn't be given a play by play into what's really going on. |
I'm ripping my hair out and lack a bit of time to concentrate on the cue. The collider segment would be 1 track (i think lol). Anyone want to try and tackle this? I can figure out a special scooby snack for anyone who pulls through. The mixing isn't really from point a to b here, so trying to figure where to cut, how to put in the artist info and so on is driving me a little crazy.
I would really love to include the original song titles as to not look like one of those dudes who takes credit for other peoples work.

Awesome set man. You + 3 decks seems to = win. Nice to hear the techier stuff from you too
I have to ask though - What is it with you and latin-style house lately? |
Blame my wife. I still buy the tech, but since i share a music room with her, i can get away with blasting more house than i could with moody glitch that she does not really "get". It does not hurt that there is no shortage of nice material in this department as of late. I guess women think suavemente is sexier than hawtin fist pumps. Thx for listening mate.

Merci
You probably heard this in regards to the lumidee accapella:
http://www.sensationrecords.com/lum...h-pr-19930.html
I had the original accapella because i own a lot of hip hop and rnb from the era. I obviously have a huge hard on for those guys (minus sven), so i figured i would take a stab at my own version for a little fun. I found a few other older accapellas while digging in my old stuff that i can't wait to use. I would have to agree that this set could probably only be enjoyed loud, as i ride the eq a lot in this one, and the range is lost if you can't hear the work.

he is obviously having sex with some family members ... oh wait |
Not quite My mom spends probably 4 months out of the year in cuba, and i made some friends who dj for tourists there. They have some access to internet (which is rare there), and they have asked me if i could put together a few "latin & african" cds for them. I love world music so it is going to be fun. I could probably use a wetbacko loco like you for help with this.
ok back to work
