From the seaside town of Vina del Mar in Chile, RICARDO TOBAR has made an impression on the electronic scene with two well received EPs on James Holden´s Border Community, in addition to a single entitled ´With You´ on the excellent Traum Schallplatten imprint. His fusion of melodic techno, electronic rock and modern shoegaze music highlight a creative flair that is still seemingly untapped, and with an artist long player mooted, RICARDO TOBAR looks well set to follow in the footsteps of Holden and the rest of the Border Community family.

Closing that night is critically-acclaimed PALENKE SOULTRIBE, which has succeeded to deconstruct Afro-Colombian rhythms and blending them with underground beats and exploratory sounds and visuals. Their productions have made influential publications in the general & Latin media, including Billboard, New York Post, Campus Circle, KCRW sing praises for their studio and LIVE set work.

tobar last night was fucking awesome! great person too! who ever is taking care of him til friday will like his company ill check flights tomorrow. anyone kind enoguh to give me a ride from and likely back to lax? i think that'll be the most inexpensive route rather than spending the whole weekend in LA and getting a place to stay.

picking him up at LAX in a few hours. then pick up Martinez at the hotel and the 3 of us will be at the promenade in santa monica. if anybody wants to hang out, you know where to find us.

That is why Luciano, usually ends his sets with "Arabesque" found on the Tishomingi label. And in the same breadth, Beatport considers CHYMERA as one of the best chillout artists, based on his production "Umbrella" on Ovum.
