Maybe she actually doesn't think that the shit she's feeding them is THAT bad for them. I think she needs to be more informed of what she's doing to their bodies, short term and long term.

She obviously loves her kids and wants what's best for them... she probably just thinks "oh what the hell, let them have their treats" and she's unaware that she's doing serious damage.

My sister is very hot-headed and if you tell her she's doing something wrong she will immediately put up a barrier and not listen to reason. If this were my sister, I would do it step-at-a-time and in a laughing manner like "Omg Aleks what the fuck is all this candy in here? lololol you're gonna have mad dentist bills. Just save yourself the time and money and feed them carrots"

Or pay to have her kids enrolled in swimming lessons/gymnastics
A gift from Aunt Jamie for Christmas/bdays. Get the kids really excited about it first before you ask your sister, that way she will have to agree.

Plus, it sounds to me like she's trying to find ways to make them happy because she doesn't feel she is a good mother... hence the junk food. "Mommy can i have candy?" "Sure sweetie". happy kid. mom is the best.

omg the best (or worst i should say lol) was when my mom first moved to indianapolis and was all excited about being able to have her grandkids visit all the time, my sister made it a point to show my mom where all the fast food joints were that were close to her apt. my mom was like "i dont really care about this" and my sister was like, "well MY KIDS LIKE MCDONALDS OK? so you're gonna have to know where these are!
