What a shit dj he's become since 2005.

This CD is loaded with uplifting, energetic, blood moving tracks intricately mixed with angelic perfection. From that moment on, I could feel the magik flowing through my veins while listening to the music that Tijs carefully samples and produces. His creativity allows him to develop the concepts of songs that bring life and energy to people around the world.

Authority was definitely the wrong word to use. I guess I mean he's not someone I would pay much attention to.

I completely agree with him on the Chilean Goat farmer stuff, but I don't think it needs a genre tag attached. There are great tracks with trumpets or chants and there are a lot of shit ones. Anything that gets done to death is going to grow old quick. I don't see what that has to do with "minimal" what so ever.

They have interviews with dance music artists that come to town ahead of every weekend. They are not affiliated with the LA Times as the thread title suggests.

He has, but suddenly decided it was 1995 all over again and delivered a Drum N' Bass set @ Electric Zoo.

It pains me to say it, as Desyn's biggest fan on this board, but Clovis is absolutely right. He needs to get over the drugs and the good times and focus on what he's playing. I don't see him as any sort of "authority" on dance music anymore.

Well, I won't comment on the DNB set he played @ Electric Zoo more than he could have just been experimenting with that sound. Recorded live sets are so few and far between anymore from him, it's hard to stay a dedicated fan when you don't hear anything new from him in 6-9 months...

I've personally moved on from his sound myself. Though, I'm still always excited to see a new liveset/mix pop up from him.

I do still consider him an authority in a niche sound of the umbrella progressive house genre, in which some of my other favorite DJ's have emulated a sound from.

Desyn lost his ear for the music after he teamed up with omid and demi, after that he gone downhill really fast playing crap. Probably got lazy and decided to earn some cash with guys, we can play shit and ppl are still paying for the tickets + 3 mixers, 6 dvjs and siren samples every 3 seconds didnt help them either
