this is good stuff. definitely has a "retro vibe" at first but it doesn't remind me at all of a "70's disco." people who don't like that type of music will probably enjoy the second half at least. must. have. tracklist.
on a sidenote, i'm worried that everyone's going to get on the disco bandwagon and shit is going to start getting churned out left and right.. (edit:*lucid says*) disco is the new minimal it seems

I didn't want to mention this before because I didn't want to spoil it for Alex...but the "70s disco" comment is twice as stupid because this stuff is 80s, not 70s. Completely different music.

lesser discoish set I quess. I know it`s just the matter of opinion but this mix and the track selection overall didn`t really do it for me.
haven`t heard Jamie playing live though but I assume it`s pretty different compared to this EM? more techy maybe?

I reckon Jamie's the type of artist that wants to take a step away from all the shit that's being played out today. Even deep and progressive are common now a days.

this is the first ive heard a major tech house guy start playing nu disco / disco house / whatever tag doesnt offend you. i guess it was only a matter of time, we'll probably hear it played to death now.
damn, there are just so many sets of disco type sounds that blow this one away, done by little indie/unheard of people. they're spread all over the place on blogs and myspace pages. i like jamie jones but EM seems to play the boring side of the major players. essential music for what? sitting on the toilet?

woscar, danny howells RA podcast started off very discoish and even dropped led zep and the transitions were much smoother. so your comment that people only have to say "lousy transitions" as a sidenote on this set is irrelevant. additionally, just because you are jamie jones, doesn't mean you can get away with mixing poorly. the transitions are weak and that's a fact.
i hope this doesn't offend you as i can tell you would suck jj's cock if he would let you.
