I think what i like about it best is all the memories of night's out it reminds me of. From how excited they are meeting up in the car to the first moments in the club when they go out. I got this on dvd and im sure i will watch it plenty in the future. This movie is a classic of our times!

i agree...trainspotting IS the movie hehe..
i like human traffic alot thoo can not deny that
as for comparing groove to human traffic? impossible.
two completely different scenes.
groove is more directed to the rave scene here in the USA
the rave scene in the UK tends to be more "clubbish"
here in the states a rave and a club are two completely different things. however, not speaking from experience cuz i've never been to the uk, to me it seems that "clubbing" and "raving" is closely associated with the electronic music scene.
just my $.02

I finally watched Human Traffic last week.
I liked it, the character Moff was hilarious. One of my favorite lines was something like "I don't need a g/f, Cause Music is my sex and I can go all night long!"

Have to disagree, the movie is just what it was supposed to be. A realistic film about UK club culture. I don't think anybody ever claimed it was a "rave movie". I'd call it a "weekend movie", and it pretty much sums up what your average UK 18-25 year old does between Friday and Monday. I can pretty much relate to every scene in some way...basically the film is wicked.

I love when it starts to get all preachy about the club scene and pills and stuff .. good to get parents to watch so they hear those opinions coming from someone who isn't u for a change
"So what do I call you? Bullet? Tony?"
"You can call me Susan if it makes you happy."

the weekend has landed.
all that exists now is clubs, drugs, pubs and parties. i've got 48 hours off from the world, man. i'm gonna blow steam out of my head like a screaming kettle. i'm gonna talk shit to strangers all night. i'm gonna lose the plot on the dance floor. the free radicals inside me are freaking man. i'm goin' to never never land with my chosen family. we're gonna get more spaced out than neil armstrong ever did. anything could happen tonight, you know. this could be the best night of my life. i've got 73 pounds in my back pocket and i'm gonna spend the lot.
the milky bars are on me
TV interviewer: Why do you come to these nights?
Lulu: I'd like to answer that one if I may.
Nina: Sure.
Lulu: To get absolutely trashed.

The movie is kinda boring, it needs more clubbing...from what I remember u see like 5 mins of Carl Cox as Pablo (Owner of a night club), and then you see maybe 5 mins of some nice clubbing...other then that the movie aint great.

Personally this is one of my favourite movies, I'd highly recommend at least giving it a view. The director has an interesting way of getting different moods and ideas across (the voiceover/dreamsequence bits are hilarious), funny dialogue, its got a great soundtrack, and its highly quoteable. I said.... NICE ONE BROTHA!!
