Yep, I found them online actually. Def going there.

Has anyone been to/bought anything from Cornerstone Home Interiors? Found them online as well and am looking forward to checking out their showroom.

Definitely check this if you haven't already. There may be several better places but if you're looking for something good that costs a sane amount of money then that's one of the best places to find it.

If you're looking on the higher end, there's DeBoer's, and if money really is no object, there's the Art Shoppe. (Don't even try to say those are awful Jay, lol)

There are a couple of places on Queen - Quasi Modo, BLVD, and Style Garage (already mentioned) to name a few. If you're really picky then just head down to Queen St and make a day of it, that's where you'll find all the trendy items, but generally also kind of overpriced.

Deboer's and Art Shoppe are great if you're a 50 year old woman.

Quasi Modo is good. Design Within Reach is also pretty cool on King Street.

Style Garage is great quality and not crazy expensive. You can get pretty much anything custom sized (I got a marble coffee table split into 2 tables using the same piece of marble so the veins line up) and it cost me $100 more than the single table. Service is amazing and everything was just spot on for the look I wanted.

Sure, they have pieces like that - lots of them. They also have many that are a lot fresher, assuming you actually shop around.

I really have no desire to butt heads over what is essentially fashion. I've been to the places you list (except for Design Within Reach) and they had some great things, but there was not one store that had everything I wanted or even most of the things. It's almost always best to keep your options wide open at the beginning and start being selective once you've seen what's out there (and especially what's available in your price range).

Anyway, that's all I'll say. Happy hunting Jenny!

Some of these places are ridiculously overpriced, lol. In fact I've seen a lot of the same brands (the exact same couch has appeared on a few, actually) on a couple sites and it's hilarious that the "higher end" stores think they can get away with jacking up the price by a grand or two. Fuck off.

Assuming you didn't already know this, you might also try the Chesterfield Shop if you're just looking for a sofa/loveseat and no other furniture. That's basically all they sell and they (generally) don't overcharge; you can probably go to some of the overpriced trendy stores, find a style you like, and find something almost identical there for half the price.
