yes i realize some people get incredible kicks off spotting celebrities and telling about it. i also realize i'm quite often an asshole for speaking my mind on ta. but we are all adults here and i think whatever i dish out is done tastefully and civilly... and most of the time there's a purpose behind it. this time my point is that gushing about seeing a celebrity really reflects upon you poorly in much the same way that namedropping does. to me it says you really don't have much going for you that you would rely on such a superficial association as subject matter. i mean unless you have a ridiculously funny or enlightening story to go with that celebrity, who the fuck cares that you saw them? i saw erik estrada shopping at the polo store on rodeo drive once, yet as i tell this story for the first time i'm wondering to myself what the point is. that's all. love you too sarah. |
ok well here's a funny story about a celeb. about 3 years i got invited to a party at Bill Maur's (sp) house by his then girlfriend. i had one of the party attendees ask me "are you lifestyles or vanilla?" and i'm like huh? so she proceeds to tell me that there is a party within a party going on and that a group of them that were there are swingers and that they would be engaging in those festivities that night and she was wondering if i was part of it. lol
needless to say after i recovered from that quickly i proceeded to quiz her about the lifestyle and how it's done, you know i was just curious
but my biggest question was what happens when one of the persons in the couple doesn't like the other person that they have to trade with that they are swinging with? she's like, well sometimes you have to take one for the team, lol!
