The key is to have a ton of photos and reasonable prices. Detailed ads that explain the dimensions etc. are helpful, especially with big furniture seeing as not everyone has large enough apartments etc. to fit a huge couch or whatever. |
this is the exact advice i was going to give.
i've sold a lot of shit on there (diamond earrings, furniture, kitchen appliances, electronics, etc) and it was a hassle at times because a lot of people e-mailed saying they're interested but then they never responded again. it can be time consuming and frustrating but for the convenience it's worth it. i could have had a yard sale when i was moving, but instead i chose to list everything individually on craigslist so i could respond and finalize the sales while i was at work, lol.
reasonable prices + photos of what you're selling are probably the most important aspects of a good ad.
