True story son. I'm going off track here, not really talking about the song or tiesto specifically, but in more general terms. I think this thread is indicitive of the growing pains of EDM in the US. As the EDM genre becomes more popular in the US, artists are going to change and expand their styles to fill the growing demand. And these changes are not unique to the EDM world, they are seen in every genre of music. How many people do you know that think that Soulja Boy is a sell out?? but his stuff got a lot of air play. For every Soulja Boy, there are prob 10 Common or Talib Kweli's. The same thing will happen for EDM. I.E Oakenfold and you can argue Guetta and Tiesto
The good thing about the genre becomming more popular will be the rise in massive events. I know I wish we had the massive events with the same frequency that europe does and as the genre becomes more popular and socially acceptable, we'll see a lot more artist and events come through. As all the current stars start to fade, there will be a new crop of DJ's and producers who will rise up. This is one of the my favorite things about EDM, that there is an abundance of fresh talent and music coming out WEEKLY. There is huge potential for EDM in the US to become as massaive as it is in the rest of the world.
