eli and i talked about marriage all the time before he actually proposed to me. That's how our relationship is though, i don't fuck around, i want to know what's going on and he does too. If i want to know something i ask. We talked about when we would get married, i helped him pick out a ring and then one day he surprised me with and proposed and he knew damn well i was going to say yes. But that's just how we are as a couple, i don't know if that is normal shit for you because some people have a relationship full of mind games and other bullshit. I wouldn't worry about it. She obviously wanted to know if you would marry her for real not just in small talk. You said yes. Now she knows. If i were you, i would beat her to the punch and propose to her before she proposes to you. I'm just old fashioned that way. But still, it'd be a great way to steal her thunder. lol

that's how pat and i are. we've talked about marriage and we're on the same exact page on how to raise kids and stuff and he knows what kind of rings i like and that it doesn't have to be a big expensive diamond (lol). but we both know that neither of us is even close to being ready for marriage. we sort of have things backwards and feel that buying a home together should come first lol i'm sure once we do that (in the next year or 2) he'll pop the question.

i don't think gmail counts.

i think she is giving you a hint, now be a man and propose to her before she does to you again.

proposals are one of those things that women remember imo, and if you want her to remember it forever man up and do it.

I've had 4 long term ones and on every single one the word marriage was discussed, question like "where would you like to get married ??? if we would have kids what would you like to name them ??? etc" were always put over the table,

It's very natural in a serious relationship to discuss marriage , even though it might not happen . i just don't think i'm marriage material atm

yep. i doubt she was proposing.. it is natural in serious relationships to talk about marriage and things in the future.. and also, she probably IS hinting to you that you should ask her.. if both of you love each other a lot, even though you feel it might not be the right moment, i think you should ask her anyway, because you don't have to marry until the time is right for both, but you can be engaged good luck!

e- does it seem like all the cor people are proposing?!1

nope, not a proposal, just discussion.

My wife said she would dump me if I did one of those cheesy surprise proposals. We just decided on a date for the wedding and picked everything else out.

Does this count as a real marriage proposal?

No, it's a marriage proposal proposal. She proposed that you propose to her, and you said yes. Now you have to propose.

Is this unfair or manipulative?

manipulative? Yes. Clever? Yes.

Is it normal for couples to field responses to marriage proposals before making them?

Don't know, but I think all couples should.

Is this fucked up, or am i overreacting?

No, yes.
