The movies may not have been memorable character wise but they sure did a lot of positive things like inspire a whole new generation of readers
Movie inspired readers? What the hell are you on about?

Its a well known fact that only tools enjoyed the prequels.

So basically you're a typical geek who thinks fiction is all about getting lost in a fantasy world and has no understanding of good storytelling. Although your response doesn't answer any of my three questions.
Yeah typical geek. I love the new star wars but can't stand people like you who jerk off to the sight of princess Leia in a metal bikini.

I started reading in 99/00 because of the movie and wanted to understand more so logically i picked up the book so i could go at my own pace, they were some of the first books i read when i was still learning English. Unlike most i didn't have the luxury of learning English from birth and had to when my family came to America. If they movies didn't inspire readers then how come the Clone Wars novel series has an ever expanding section just for it in major chain book stores?
I guess you're too old to understand. Or too dim to read that i said a new generation of readers, as in children.

Wow that guy really reamed Phantom Menace
My only complaint was that he was comparing the entire original trilogy to the one movie as opposed to comparing both trilogies to each other. Granted, all his points would've still been valid...maybe even moreso. But, damn, harsh. Best part of the entire series is the last 30 seconds of part 2. George Lucas is an asshole.
