Nobody ever does; I always have to come right out and just say it.

wtf

Do you go to the McDonald's drive through and sit in silence and expect them to know if you want a #1, #6, or #12?!

NO you fucking say "HEY I WANT A FUCKING #1!"

wow you're such a bold free spirit.

i never would have thought to actually TELL mcdonalds what i want to eat.

i fucking hate people like you.

not people who stick up for themselves...but people who pride themselves on being a whiny little bitch.

there's a time and a place for things and some people just can't take it when it doesn't go their way.

Sometimes the best thing to do is take it. Pick your battles and be patient.

otherwise you just look like a spoiled brat.

agree.
Bold= fixed bit imo

if you feel you need to prove yourself to other people no matter what, you're an idiot. people who can't understand social context are one of the reasons i'm a self-confessed misanthrope.

I know nobody's going to believe this anyway, but...

I am actually an extremely passive person. I've been wondering about the reasons to that myself and the only thing I could come up with was that I simply do not care about (or have opinion on) most things. This actually pisses my fiancée off greatly sometimes when she's trying to get an opinion or a decision out of me.

BUT that doesn't mean I let people walk all over me, I do stand up for myself if someone's trying to fuck me over.

If working the drive through at McDonalds pisses you off so much, why don't you go and get a different job?

Yeah, +1 on this. Most of the time I simply don't care enough.

I like how most of you took the topic - and focused on the ordering from McDonald's part. First of all - I do NOT work for McDonalds, that was a metaphor.

Secondly - I'm more curious about the reasoning as to not voice your dislikes when you're in friendship or relationship. I'll spell it out for people like BTG who seem to have a plane flying over their heads at all times. If one of your friends irritates you when they constantly bring in inappropriate stories in front of people (for example when he tells the story about the time you fucked that broad in such and such a place the first time meeting your new girlfriend) - why is it so difficult to say "that irritates the shit out of me - stop being a douche".

Or - If you want some quiet time, but your girlfriend doesn't know that since you sat down on the couch with her and started watching tv - instead of getting annoyed that she can't read your mind and KNOW you want a quiet house, why can you not say "hey, I kinda just want to be alone right now".

THAT is my point.

Where are you all getting this bullshit about "proving yourself" or "whining about everything"?
