The Offspring are the only pop punk band I can enjoy even in a guilty pleasure way. They always seem to have more fun and be less serious about the whole business than the rest. Five chords is two more than your average pop punk band anyway.

"smash" was the only good album imo. the album and all of their subsequent albums where they really blew up (with pretty fly etc) was fucking garbage. they remind me of korn in a way- korn's first two albums were fantastic and had a really interesting/new (for the time) sound.. then commercialized "follow the leader" is released and they totally went to shit.

Ixnay On The Hombre was still decent, but after that... meh.
