If they were impaired to the point that their needs couldn't be met by myself alone, I would put them in the care of social services. I understood she would to this during the early stages of pregnancy. She is staing that she would consider euthanasia to her own flesh & blood & because of an accident that resulted in her poor child ending up mentally challenged she would do this?

Now you're taking things out of context a bit, because there's quite a difference between mentally challenged and someone who's not capable of anything more than breathing.
