Yeah some legal shit.
But sorry, to answer your original question...yes I would consider euthanasia. Again, the ethics of the situation depend on the values of people involved, and if laws were in place in society that allowed euthanasia, I would do it.
So what would you do if your child lived a happy childhood normal & then got very sick for some reason & ends up mentally challenged because of whatever caused them to end up that way.. Lets say you child was a teenager.

What would you do then?
As much as I applaud the fact that you try to think along with me, she already answered that:

It would depend on their level of impairment and how much I would be able to care for them. If they were impaired to the point that their needs couldn't be met by myself alone, I would put them in the care of social services. But if it was so bad that their quality of life was significantly diminished and/or they had little to no autonomy, for sure I would consider euthanasia.

I understood she would to this during the early stages of pregnancy. She is staing that she would consider euthanasia to her own flesh & blood & because of an accident that resulted in her poor child ending up mentally challenged she would do this?
I just answered your question in the post above yours.

I know you did. I quoted Frenkieee so he could understand what I was reading about what you posted.
So I guess you would kill your own child because they got sick & ended up mentally challanged?
That's sad.
I can understand putting them in the care of social services but to kill your own child?
Your values are not my values. I value quality of life and autonomy, and if my child could have neither of those things anymore, hell yes I would, as they say, "put him/her out of his/her misery."

Now you're taking things out of context a bit, because there's quite a difference between mentally challenged and someone who's not capable of anything more than breathing.

It's ok, I can guarantee you his beliefs are rooted some kind of Christian or religious, non-rational bullshit.

Yeah, I guess you'd have to be atheist (or the likes) to consider 'killing' your own blood.
Thank god (ghehe) all that religious crap has gone past me all my life.

That I can understand. You are right, there is a big defference but even then it sad for someone to even think that way.
