Hmmm .... Well maybe we are being too harsh on Oakie here... Even cool people get tired and irritated.. Its not like we know what its like to be famous, it must get difficult sometimes being in the public eye so much, and of course having a hectic schedule like he does... Can you imagine how often he gets asked for autographs, pictures, etc...
For all we know he got into an argument right before he walked out. We'll never know, but for that one moment you all think he's rude, doesn't appreciate his fans, etc.. That seems a little unfair, he's human and he will have his good days and bad.... I'm sure he loves the music, I'm sure he loves the money (who wouldn't!).. But for us to be so harsh as to say he ONLY does it for money is pretty damn harsh.. Especially when none of us know him and are basing our opninions on random acts, and media... I say give him the benefit of the doubt... thats all..
I've never met him, so I'll hold my judgement until he storms past me and refuses to sign an autograph |
there you go. thats what i meant. i will stop posting 800 times in this post. peace.

Well, I guess if I was in a bad mood I'd flame your ass for saying this. Oakenfold SUCKS. Yeah. There you go. Have you ever had the chance of listening to one of his sets LIVE, not that studio engineered crap. Have you ever seen him play premixed vinyl ? Have you ever heard him let a track play out before putting on a new one ? I have - and all that during a 2hrs set. Even the local warm-up DJs put on a better show than he did - and that for less than 0.1% of the price. Well, if that doesn't sound like a bad DJ then I don't know what does.
Mr "I am a leet raver now" Airbryant.
And I know I'll step on a lot of people's toes now but I have to say that PvD too is very commercial ... for a few years now, along with Tiesto, van Buuren and most other trance DJs. Do you think that they would be where they are now without commercialization ? I doubt that. No true underground artist would EVER demand the ammounts of money Oakenfold, van Dyk and co. demand for a gig. What happened to playing for the love of it ? Think about it.
