You're not missing a whole lot. His star has been on the decline for the past couple of years imo. Luciano has upstaged him the past few times on the terrace.

he was suppose to play at 1015 last month but he canceled most if not all his NA stops

I suppose the botched hijacking and inevitable security crackdown that is following won't help much in the way of luring Villalobos back.

I still remember the first time I ever heard a Villalobos song... back in 2003. As a matter of fact, Sven Vath played it in Toronto, and I went up to a few people at the club to get an ID of that song, until I finally found some guy who knew what it was.

Shoot, I can't remember what it was called. Maybe "Dexter" or something like that? Whatever it was, it was INSANE.

edit: and the song was very melancholy and kinda gave me a lonely feeling, but it was a very nice song.

Sven would be amazing to see. My opinion is that techno is more loved throughout Europe then here - even though id KILL to see any of the Cocoon crew.. and plus i feel like Sven is ususally playing in some beach city wherever the summer is.

i was lucky enough to see him at Cocoon Ibiza 2 years ago... good times
