beginner tranceaddict: listens to cheese and thinks that he/she knows a lot about trance because he/she is so deep into it.

intermediate tranceaddict: drools to uplifting and melodic trance, occasionally enjoys one or two deeper and darker tunes. thinks most people who listen to "cheese" are uneducated bastards, yet still spends much time listening to the same cheesy songs

super tranceaddict: enjoys most of the tunes, no matter how dark or uplifting they are. looks down at the intermidiate and beginner categories and thinks they are losers who don't know jack shit about trance. avoids listening to cheese and cheap productions. for this category the only genre of music that exists is the genre of trance (and their understanding of it is often very narrow). other music categories are either too commercial, or simply suck ass.

professional tranceaddict: this specimen is not afraid to play and listen to all kinds of electronica, such as jungle, breakbeat, house, techno, prog, acid, drum & bass, uplifting/melodic, etc. (sometimes a specimen would develop a special taste to only a few of these sub-genres). respects other tranceaddicts for whatever their tastes are. is not afraid of his/her own tastes and listens to whatever tunes he/she feels like at the moment. respects the djs for whatever they've done and never says a particular dj sucks.
