speaking from experience doing weddings, birthdays, corporates etc, for a year, DO NOT!!!! i repeat, DO NOT!!!!!! take anything to heart that the crowd in a top40/rnb venue tells you!!!

Forget about the potential dj's in the audience & how they will see your song selection, your job is there to read & entertain the masses.
They like 80's, you play 80's & they smile. They like pop, you play pop & they smile. People were dancing @ your gig so its a job well done! If whoever paid you gave you positive feedback & was satisfied, its a job well done!

So if some slag ,who sleeps under persian silk quilts that her rich daddy bought her for hew sweet 16th (at which NEYO performed just for her & gave her a red rose that he kissed), gives you a dirty look because you didnt have 'her song'(no matter what it is!!!), just get back to cueing the next track & DO NOT loose any sleep over it.
If shes being a scrag bitch, tell her bluntly! But dont be rude.
Otherwise, then let the punter down gently & keep them happy by playing something similar/same artist just for them (but only if shes cute & appears single)

But dont behave like a request bitch, youre not a jukebox.
