This Trance Energy Event for me will be the 5th time and have to say that this was probably one if not the best line ups for DJ's ever for Trance Energy... I think in the way for ID-T they did a lot to make it a great party, but I think some things were missing and I am not sure if others saw it too. It seemed not as organized as well as previous years... The Main Stage didnt have and video screens really and I think it could have been done better... The Cube idea was nice, but think they could have done a little bit more, the voice that usually is the intro to each dj really wasnt there this year and the MC wasnt Mighty Mike. He desperatly needs to be back next year... The MC this year doesnt have a main stage presence at all! Maybe he would have been better at the Hard Stage or High Contrast Stage...
When I arrived I missed about 20 Min of Nic Chagall, His set from what I heard was awesome, he played alot of great tracks including this moment which I really want to hear! When BT came on, I was actually expecting him to be really bad, but to my surprise he was good, I just wasnt feeling him towards the end of his set... Markus Schulz came on next and normally I love Markus, but I didnt think his set was that great to be honest... When Armin Van Buuren was announced to do a Broadcast via satelitte, I was a really curious to see how this would work and to my surprise it was pulled off extremely well! The second everyone saw Armin the energy in the room changed for the rest of the night for me and was instantly turned up to 10! His set was so amazing I just wished it was more than 20 min. Above and Beyond were next and have to say these guys are on a roll to being #1 real soon, there track productions are amazing, they played so well and had the crowd going to a frenzy! They played "Good for me" "Satelite" "On a good day" and "Anjunabeach" among many other amazing tracks... They really had me going! The funny thing about the next DJ is that he made the TE Theme Track, normally thru out the night other djs play the anthem, This is one of those anthems that I think really isnt Anthem material... This track actually sounds incomplete to me... I was on my way to see Cosmic Gate when Sander came on and he sounded pretty good, When I got to the High Contrast Stage I was very impressed with this room, the decorations and set up were way above par and Cosmic gate were incredible! I dont understand why these guys havent gotten bigger? When they finished we left to head back to the main stage and saw Gareth Emergy, now for me he really took it to outer space... This DJ destroyed anyone else, Every single track was solid gold! I was insane during his set and he totally revitalized my energy! The night was almost complete as Sean Tyas and Simon Patterson came up to finalize the night. I have to say they really brought the energy back, those to are a great pair together and see them doing more together in the future! Over all this Trance Energy was good but not the best, like I said before and I am not sure if others felt this way, I feel ID-T could have done somewhat better on the Mainstage production as compared to 2008 and 2009, they were both amazing stages in my opinion. This wont be the last Trance Energy for me either. I hope all that attended enjoyed them selves as well...
