Round of golf played just show Obamas superior time management skills. Ih the first year in office Obama, even though he only took 1/3 of the vacation time bush took managed to play 4 times as many rounds of golf. Bush really must have sucked at golf for his games to take that long.

Obama is so busy doing nothing and kowtowing to the base that he's transforming the country into a socialist state and alienating the entire country! Consistent meme is consistent.

The special election in Massachusetts isn't a game-changer, but it does reveal just how dumb Democrats are in terms of politics. They're letting Republicans set the tone of the debate every single time. If health care were about costs and coverage, the facts would win out. Simple as that - Democrats have gotten into this call and response thing on the various mythologies Republicans put out there - denying misrepresentations is not a way to win over voters.

As for what Massachusetts "represents" - it's simply dumb to extrapolate some kind of national condemnation of health care reform from the result of a special election in which the Democrats committed no resources and nominated an absolute dunce of a candidate.

Health Care Reform passed the Senate 60-39. All this election means is that now it would only pass 59-40. 59-41 if you can get Sen. Inhofe to show up this time. Congratulations. There's the result of your "referendum on health care reform."

Don't imbue the filibuster with some kind of historical democratic legitimacy that has never existed.

If anything, Massachusetts is the direct result of voters like me - completely disenchanted by the failure of messaging on the left, and getting fed up with how long it's taking Democratic congressmen and women to realize they're in the majority and have a mandate to pass this reform package.

On the ground in MA, Martha Coakley ran a terrible campaign. She was aloof, complacent, presumptuous, and a mediocre attorney general. She hardly campaigned until Scott Brown was even in the polls, aka too late.
