Saw T2 last night. The movie was amazing, the special effects were amazing, even to this day.
But, I was not happy with the video or sound. They said in the flyer that it is being shown in HD, if that is the case, booo. New digital movies are shown at higher resolutions and you can tell. T2 looked a bit blurred, and the sound wasn't great either. During action sequences, the explosions sounded a bit compressed and distorted. When there was just some music or not much going on, the sound was fine.
But, i was very very happy to finally have seen this epic in theaters. I have yet to see Avatar, and it will be interesting to see the differences between the two.
Die Harddddddddddddddddddd! Yippe ki yay mothafookah!

I got very lucky and sent home from work early and was able to make this. It was disappointing to see that it wasn't off the reel and that the sound was weak but I am unbelievably happy that I finally got to fulfill my child hood dreaming of seeing my favorite movie in theatres. I feel bad for my roommate who heard me quote just about every line in the movie - even the obscure ones.
Pulled a nice George Costanza line as the credits started to roll - "I hope they make a Terminator 3!"
ps - I like how they had the trailers for the other movies they're showing this week - nice touch. I really hope they have weeks like this more often. I need a Tarantino and Scorcese marathon starting with Pulp Fiction and Goodfellas!

That would be badass!

Trailers? I got in just before 9:45, and didn't see any. I was hoping for some, cause I had to go to the rest room. From what I saw, it went straight into the opening credits.
I think hey just played the fuckin Blueray. Either way, it was not up to the standard movie quality for today.
