Yeah, I'm a little shocked not to see that anywhere.
It would of been humorous to see Sam Rockwell nominated for best actor and also best supporting actor, for the same film. To bad the judges don't have a sense of humour.
There were no screeners sent to the academy. It got almost zero support from the studio.
Hard sci-fi never had it easy.

i agree with what you guys have said about moon. really should've been in there somewhere.
Also, Ponyo...how'd that get overlooked? As animated feature or foreign language perhaps, i'm not sure how that works but I take it it would've had to be in the animated feature category. Up was good but it wasn't great. Coraline was ok. And the fantastic mr. fox? I love wes anderson but I don't think it fits the bill as "best animated feature". Ponyo was better than all 3. Just my opinion....
And tyson should be up for best documentary.

after refreshing my memory of 2009 releases, i agree with the oscar list. these are "technically" the best movies of 2009. it was a slow movie year last year unfortunately.

Think that was from 2008? Could be wrong.
I'm sure Mo'nique will win Best Sup. Actress. It was a good role, but I think it's been wayyyyy overrated.
