Well according to sources, HongKong is the world leader in broadband uptake making 86% of the nation having broadband, while we australians have only 5%
U must mean China, because HK became a part of China on 1997-07-01 (They never were a nation so, what made you think that they were?). I thought that the world leader would be Japan (they're the world leader in technology!!!), followed by some EU country.

.SE, .NL and .NO and few other country in this corner of the world have a ISP named BBB (i know only the initial )
for ~30 US per month you got the 10mbits right in your network card. I don't know how much 100mbits is, and I don,t think it's as available as the 10 mbits.
And to answer one guy in this thread, yes there is a lot of web/warez server in those country.
Operation Buccaners, succesfully setted up by the FBI few month ago to counter the warez scene becoming bigger each day, hit hard in .NO because a lot of a warez site were hosted there.

In Germany are most broadband users on (T)-DSL. It has 786/128 kbit/s down/up and costs with flatrate ~ 50 € per month. Faster connecions can only get in firms or universitys.
People without the availability of DSL have to use ISDN or 56k, cable isn´t very popular in Germany

how the fuck can FBI act in europe ? sucking US rule in EU now ???
Where I live, they are actually networking new houses as an added option in case you decided to get cable. I know a lot of ppl who already have cable or plan to get it very soon. With digital music going around, its a bear necessity.
