I'm currently using the DT770 pros and you need to get used to them. Wear them in a bit and you'll REALLY start to hear/feel the bass. The bass response on these things is beast. Bass isn't lost at all once you realize the difference from DJ and studio headphones.
Comparing them to the closed DT880's, i heard a difference in mainly the higher end being crispier. The open back DT880 Pros though are on a totally different level. Quite possibly best sets I've heard since AKG 701s
