I've looked at all the videos on Torq and I'm quite impressed with it. I love the how the software works and it has really good functions that I might use. The Xponent itself ses to be quite good also with a good respobse time. Unfortunatly, in my case, the audio card would not be used as I would use my Fast Track Ultra. I noticed that I can't really use a microphone for radio shows but only for Samplers. i haven't figure out what I would do on this one.

I have installed Traktor demo on my pc, however I haven't tried it out yet. But at first sight, Torq seems more attractive visually.

these videos is what made me go out and buy the the Xponent. its a good controlle.r ive had it a year and no problems at all. just tweeked the eq settings thats it. Torq has only crashed on me once and it was due to me mixing, importing music, and downloading from internet at the same time. rock solid

.

all you need is a simple mixer run the audio through the mixer and plug a mic in. i use a Behrnger ddm400 to run my audio through then plug the mic in there and good to go.

I can already plug my XLR microphone onto my Fast Track Ultra and use the internal mixer of the Fast Track to ct as a mixer. No need for an external mixer. However, I was wondering few days ago if Torq had kinda of a third line for the microphone, which it doesn't.

No need for an external mixer for me. I might have to use sething like ableton to record the whole thing (Torq and microphone) instead of only Torq.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I've been playing with Traktor quite a lot lately and I have to say, I'm impressed.

In my opinion, Torq has a better visual interface than Traktor. But this is taste.

However, some things I really love about Traktor:

- Xone92 effects (filter, lfo, etc). As I said, I'm a previous Xone92 owner and I was surprised to see that Traktor has the Xone filters.
- Xone92 4 band filters.
- Tap Tempo in the effects to adjust the BPM-LFO effect to what I want.

I have to say, these points make a strong case besides Torq. I love the Xone filters and I miss my Xone

I guess this could be done in Torq using external effects (VST?), but I don't think this has been done yet. Also, anyone knows if I can tap the tempo of the effects (not the song) in Torq ?

What I do like about Torq after viewing videos and reading the manual:

- Visual Interface
- The mousepad on the Xponent can be used to control effects (somewhat like a Kaos pad)
- Snapshots to recall saved effects

Other features are really similar to both softwares I would say. It is a very though call to be honest.

If any owners of Torq and/or Traktor could comment on this post, that would be great !

Get Traktor. I did, and I do not regret it.

You can snapshot traktor effects as well so that they revert back to a setting you like when you hit the RST button
