Despite the revisions, the FIFA rankings tend to over-rate the USA and Mexico, because they are the only good teams in the CONCACAF qualifying group and tend to rack up a lot of points for beating very weak sides such as Suriname or Nicaruga. Basically, most people don't take the FIFA rankings very seriously. Most knowledgable fans will know that Greece are not the 12th best team in the world, that Paraguay are much better than the 30th, that Israel are not superior to the Ivory Coast, etc.

I haven't checked out the full list of fixtures so I'm not sure if they can meet before the final.

Here are my predictions:

1) Netherlands
2) Germany
3) England
4) Portugal

I don't have the heart to support Brazil both against England AND the Netherlands
