I have a small one on my lower tummy. It has meaning to me, got it years ago and I still love it. It's nice and discreet, easy to conceal in professional situations.

I often wonder though... will that "significant meaning" really mean anything to you in 30 years? You change... your tattoo doesn't.
LOL... not everyone looks like shit as they age. My aunt is in her 60's and she looks excellent for her age. However, that doesn't negate the fact that skin loses it elasticity and tattoo colours fade etc. People also tend to gain weight as they get older, further distorting the image. I think you can bank on the tattoo looking pretty awful when you're older.
More specific to you, don't you wonder what will happen to your tattoo if you ever have kids? Or gain/lose weight? Do you think the tattoo will still hold as much meaning to you in 30 years?
