honestly, this and Gary Colemen and all of the death threads whenever a celebrity dies. Whats the big deal? Its not going to affect your life in the slightest. What they've done has been done and thats still there for you to enjoy, its not going to disappear because they died. Yes he made osme great movies like Easy Rider, but you'll always be able to watch them.
Old people die, especially when they have prostate cancer. This isn't a shock. |
I doubt any of the people in this thread genuinely "mourn". What such threads are rather about, is a moment of reflection upon an artist's work, a final display of appreciation, sharing some thoughts on favorite acts and moments etc. You know, people usually have a few actors, writers, musicians etc. they have admired and whose death triggers the memory of why they have done so. Surely nothing wrong about that, is there?
Edit: FVCKER!!

Is there a single line of that film that isn't a brilliant quote? Definitely what I'll remember Hopper for.

If there's an afterlife, he's probably settling things up with Brando for throwing fruit at him and calling him a "mutt" during Brando's reading of T.S. Elliot's "Hollow Men". Hopper's reaction, however real, was also genius and Coppola kept it. |
"This is the way the fucking world ends! Look at this fucking shit we're in, man! Not with a bang, but with a whimper. And with a whimper, I'm fucking splitting, Jack."
