I think I do a good job of getting rid of the stuff that doesn't get used. The only piece of "hardware" I can think of in my studio that doesn't get much use is an old beat-up Hohner acoustic/electric bass that hasn't left its case in about year. It's not really worth enough to sell it, so I just hang on to it. It'll be a good bass for my son to learn on when he gets old enough - he can beat the hell out of it and it won't bother me at all. Once he gets past the guitar-smashing stage, then he can use my good basses.

I have a ton of software and old sample packs that don't get used though. I've sold some of it over the past few months, but I'm stuck with some of my software and samples that can't be sold (i.e., no license transfers allowed).
