By far James Holden is the most innovative. Just take a listen to his essential mix if you doubt that. Everyone else seems to stick to the same 909 drum pattern with minor changes. James Holden's songs use new sounds that you can tell took hours to tweak.

Moogwai comes in a close second.

As far as innovativeness... I am a huge fan of BT just because of how each of his songs has that touch and when you hear it you go, "damn BT is an awesome producer!" Yeah, his not as diverse as some, but up there for me none-the-less. Holden as well is an innovative producer.. His tracks are all over the place in the prog genre and i lvoe it! My fav for sure.

Ferry Corsten has been fairly innovative as of late. Compare Punk, Pocket Damage and Ligaya, it's amazing how many different things he can do.

But, I think the most innovative track as of late HAS to be Jurgen Vries - The Theme... which is Darren Tate from what I hear. It's the first GOOD trance tune I've heard that gets away from the nonstop Roland JP-8000 leads. It was different, and it was good

yeh id say armin is the MOST innovative but nobody is really that broad to cover lots in their productions. and armin does a damn god job of it too
