Tyas is just terrible and should never be allowed in the main room again. Patterson wasn't that far behind. The sound system was awful because neither of those guys know how to dj let alone control their levels.

Sorry, nothing personal, just what I think would be fair.

Actually alot of what i posted wasnt opinion, it was fact. I have a right to set things straight when people who have no idea what they are talking about, start misrepresenting facts.

As for my opinions, i am free to them and will post as such. The views i have are mine and fully represent how i feel regardless of whether or not i work there. Working there does however, give me a perspective that most wouldnt have on siutuations which is why i responded to your post.

Personally i didnt like most of the music played on sat. But thats just my opinion. Im not generally a trance guy. Just how a lot of trancers would hate house sets that i think are brilliant. But, what speaks volumes is how the crowd reacted and it was tons of energy at the beginning from the moment the doors opened.

So in the future, if you post things like "it was disorganized" and i know better, i will call you out on it.

I'm with you on this one jay. I thought everyone did a hell of job taking into account the situation at hand. Now should Snoop Dog have been booked on a saturday evening before a headliners night...probably not. But regardless the team DID work their asses off and behind all that craziness was some definite organization.

kudos to all of you.

The event itself for me was more about the friends. People have moved on in their lives and we just dont get a chance to all be there at the same time. I thought the cheese was refreshing to hear. These are the people I have been going out with for 9 years and to have everyone under the same roof listening to cheesy breakdown filled trance was an excellent way to spend the night.

F16 for the win!

We did 2 hours work in less than an hour thanks to great organization and the generous help from security who did not have to help at all. If you felt that strongly about it an extra hand would have been welcome It was hilarious having a live audience watch the tear down i must say LOL

I'm going to have to agree with you on that one. I got to the club around 11:45 forgetting about Snoop and got in just as it was cleaning up. I was amazed how quickly they were able to clean everything up and setup everything up in less than an hour. Snoop Dogg had way to much crap on stage and was definitely impressed by how quickly they were working!

As for the party, I had a great time! Tyas did absolutely nothing for me, but wasn't expecting it. But had an amazing time dancing and listening to Patterson. Definitely dropped some amazing tracks! haven't been out to a Trance event in a while but had a great time chilling with everyone!

Didn't care for Tyas, he played a few decent tracks but I went there mostly for Patterson.

I will agree that he didn't play an outstanding set, and had too long of breakdowns after dropping a seriously hard intro which kinda threw me off a few times. HOWEVER I was there to have fun for Justin's birthday and listen to some good tunes, and good tunes and good times were had. Slamming tech-trance, TECHNO, psy-trance and hands in the air trance were all in attendance and I was extremely pleased

Some people are just too picky these days. It's 2010 not 2000

why settle for ok when you should expect good? one should have a standard which they should hold a DJ too (and it should be high from a professional)

Oh, ok. In that case, I'm going to call you out on some things since I have 'misrespresented' facts.

1) Where do you get this 'dull atmosphere from? I called mark oliver's music dull and I stick by it. Stop putting words in my mouth saying I called the crowd dull or lifeless.

2) I'm not going to go over the whole clean up thing again. I gave my kudo's to the staff (which include people like you, I was being respectful but it was nice of you to leave that out of your speech) and I guess if it's worth anything, having a floor with people yelling at one another and half of them having Security written on the back of their t-shirts doesn't consistute anything unormal by your standards, nor does it give me any sort of reason to argue about disorganization. I never said that it wasn't on time nor were there any noticable defaults when Mark Oliver went on, it was fine. My observation was strictly on how the clean up occured and I stick by it (nice shot at me on cleaning up, you must feel proud of yourself).

3) What do you care about what sort of people I like or don't? Yet you still attempt to give me an option between 2 groups of people that have historically made that room a reason for many clubbers never to go back AND if I don't like either than I really have no reason to complain. I've always understood why DJ's love the guvernment so much because from the DJ booth it has to be one of the best views in the world. The views are spectacular and I'm sure it is a North American highlight for any DJ who is playing this side of the pond, no arguments on that. However, this has never been the case with the clubber; in fact I've always found guv to be one of the worst atmosphere's you can find because you spend more time looking for a good place to hear, a good place to dance and a place where you won't have shoulder bruises rather than enjoying the 'journey'. You really have no right to talk about the atmosphere being in the lighting booth as you are in a similar position to the DJ in that you are isolated from the dancefloor. Infact, I can't even remember the last time you ever posted in a review thread without having been an employee for the club of that event. You ever tried to find a decent spot on the guv dancefloor at 2am to try and dance? The fact that you, the guvernment employee, is talking about how great the vibe was when NO ONE ELSE in the thread has said anything good speaks for itself. And btw, I just went to a festival 3 weeks ago that had an atmosphere that guv will never be lucky enough to experience (and with a guv promoter who claimed he never wanted to go back to a Toronto party ever again ).

so anyways.....

FUCK

Still can't get over how good SATURDAY was!!!!!!!!!!

I love dancing on the floor in the front of the club...and this was the first time in AGES that i was actually able to do this without being molested and stomped on...except for the couple that was going at it (on the edge of the dj booth facing the crowd WOW fucking get a room) that area was SUPERB ALL NIGHT LONG!!!!

There were a few notable tunes of the night for me and this one was definitely one of them....I believe it was around 6am and Tyas dropped it... muther f'in GOOSE BUMPS...last time i heard this live was a few years ago but its the Tiesto remix ...I like this WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better

And when Simon dropped this the place went mental I'll upload the vid later HOLY SHIT BALLS!!!!!!!!!!!!

for trance I don't expect that much since I don't listen to it very often ...Patterson met MY expectations and I had a good time dancing to trance

I'm a lot more picky and have higher expectations when I listen to tribal
