He's incredible ! Probably my 2nd favorite live show of the year. His productions have been strong too.
I saw him play a club in LA a few months ago - was my first time seeing him - and he played a great set. It was a bit fluffy at times, but he walked that line really well and everybody was lovinggg it.
When I saw him at EDC - as I was walking through the entrance to EDC I heard gareth's remix of lonely girl and I knew he was on. That was the best feeling - walking in and hearing that. I got over there as quick as I could, expecting a similar fluffy set, but still being excited for it knowing he would kill it. He played so much harder than he had in the club though - and stayed way far away from the fluff. One of my top 3 sets of the day
I'm really excited to see him at EZ.
Yeah his set and Simon Patterson's was really nice.

he used to be good until he started producing under his real name.
global, exposure, metropolis, sanctuary - make me wanna jump out of window. I dont see anything special in his live sets either.
His work with Lange was just amazing (This is New York, Another You Another Me). I also like his early work as GTR (Mistral). And the Metaverse remix is good!

However, EDM seems to be political for some people - it's not about the music itself but it's about what the music symbolises, where the music came from, who spins it and how obscure it is.

Live he's nothing special, I heard bits of his set on Tomorrowland this year which was alright. The week after at Nature One, he was closing the mainstage and played a set with no proper structure for that timeslot at all.
One of verry few producers who i still follow, awesome stuff!

They're not sickly unicorn wank, which is a minor achievement in itself, but they fall into that slightly boshy high-tempo trance zone that hasn't appealed to me for years. No real nuance, just aimless pillhead energy.
Let me know if you ever go, I've been meaning to go myself.
During WMC, I didn't (thank God) catch any trance sets bar Gareths and I must say I was really impressed with him, as always. Plenty of energy in the music and the crowd.
Here's a quick vid I took...............with an appearance from Jori at towards the end
