thanks mate. and to Stu too. I'll be fine now that I'm actually whizzing along on proper internet. Uploaded at 67kb/s last night which is like double what I got on my old broadband and 5x what my cellular one would do. Now to download some sets when I charge this up. Just gotta find a socket to use my adaptor on lol.

Wonderful set, mate. Tracks that stood out were the one at 21 minutes and the one at 40 minutes, which is fucking wild btw. I also liked the track that sampled the Jay-Z song. It was well worth it to wait for this set, I enjoyed it quite a bit. The energy was kept high and controlled, the flow was spectacular, and the mixing was pretty awesome (with the occasional hiccup). Outstanding set, top notch!

thanks a lot mate, it means a lot to get good feedback. If you heard the first time I mixed in months with those tunes a few days before, I have no idea how I actually got anything worth listening to out, I was dreadful 2 days before, then came back to it & it just worked for me first go.

Track at 21 mins is Ross D one, he releases a lot on the liquid brilliants label, some of it is a bit meh, others I really like, he seems to have a good usage of the jazzier stuff too.

At 40 minutes is B-Complex - Little Oranges. How Matus gets so much stuff out I don't know, his touch is mindblowing & I've not been as excited about hearing anyones stuff as his in a long time because generally it's imaginative and I enjoy. Love the acidy sound I have to admit at that point.

I understand esp the last two transitions aren't brilliant, but they were tunes I wanted to get in there, so I sacrificed it and hope they work. Thanks again

Practice makes perfect! I nailed my latest set in one go, also, threw in a few last minute tracks also In listening to the set, you must have been bumping pretty hard, I'm sure your adrenaline was rushing trying to cue up each track perfectly in such a short amount of time.

This one had such a jump-up, summery vibe, I absolutely loved the production, it was flawless.

He has an absurd amount of structure and complexity to this track, not a lot of DnB is this unique.

Thanks for the music!

I wouldn't really call this ambient dnb at all. There is some atmosphere in a few of the tracks, but a lot of it is pretty banging and fun.

Yeah I don't really care. I like most of this chilled/euphoric/liquid Drum and Bass, no matter how you call it.

it's quite funny really because the early stuff, like A Sides & Calibre I see as being very atmospheric, but then again the melodic stuff has got really melodic which probably makes this seem more ambient by default I count Calibre though as chilled. He brings an awesome vibe to his stuff and I definitely like it. Until I got to use my brothers sub too, I didn't realise I was only listening to drum before, now I have the bass to go with

Really? I had no idea this stuff was considered chill. I know what you mean about the mix being very atmospheric, but I thought ambient dnb meant more floaty and dreamy but less fun.

it probably does! It's just my personal take on it. I'm annoyed cos I need to do a second, maybe shorter mix because I have leftover tunes

I'll give it a go. Might buy a couple more tunes to help first but trackitdown seems dead these last few days

Adam, did you do that dubstep set yet? I flicked through new threads & didn't see it

Ian James, always a pleasure to hear you play musics.

Good mixing (thought it was better than before and especially since you haven't mixed in a long time), nice vibe overall.

I do have to say I didn't quite "feel" all the tracks, I like the tracklisting from your previous mixes more. I miss one or two stronger tracks, that stand out more and take the mix to a higher level.

All with all, good effort, looking forward to your next one
