Well said.

I can't name any recent tracks that have been released by the big boys. But at this point it doesn't matter since some of the tracks I've listened to recently have surpassed anything I've heard from them. amazing! If the 10 top fell off the face of the planet, trance would live on because of these small timers and many more that pour into the genre people tend to think is fading. Just to mention a few..

Matt Zo, Who is, Denny Szymura, Akira Kayosa, Redstar. etc etc.

House can make me dance, but I glide when I listen to trance.

I like it all, but I have an easier time with trance. Think everyone knows that.

IMO, trance has def stagnated over the last couple years. Too many trends/sounds that get popular and people rip off and make their own tracks with that sound. Another BIG issue is that a new producer comes along with a track that becomes insanely popular. From there , they go on to to get way overexpored and make 10 new tracks and 20 remixes in the next year that ALL SOUND THE SAME. Seriously. I mean, producers have always done that but it's been REAL BAD the last couple of years.

Not to say there hasn't been quality stuff -- there has -- but I think the genre overall hasn't evolved much lately. It's not like won't pick back up and get moving again. It will. Periods like this always happen.

This all said, house hasn't really gone anywhere the last couple of years either. Like trance, there are some highlights out there, but overall just a lull in evolving, IMO.

I just wanna hear some tracks so i can REALLY know what house is.
I have only ever listed to (in order) psytrance, happycore/gabber, then trance only for the last several years
For me, in my mind, house sucks and is really odd and doesn't have much flow, and is SO funky, closer to hip-hop and tribal then anything
