why is it a companies Job to protect people from themselves?

if you sign up for something that's trial based, and forget to cancel you should blame your self not the company... looking at the netflix site, the instructions are pretty clear

just my 2 cents

I was just talking to my friend about this. Not a fan. I don't know about you, but I love the experience of going to Blockbuster and just roaming through the store trying to pick a movie. You lose that with Netflix. Plus, you don't get the movie right away and I'm told you may not even get your top pick? What the hell is that?

I'm not sure if you can download movies from them - but even still, I wouldn't want to. I don't want to watch movies on my laptop all the time, nor do I want to have to hook up my laptop to my TV.

I want to go to the movie store and rent a movie dammit.

its not the company's fault when it trial agreement (to which the consumer agrees to when they sign up for the trial period) states that they will be billed for service after the trial period expires if they do not cancel.

Exactly. It's the same with digital books too at school. I like having the hard copy in front of me so I don't have to stare at a screen more than I already have to.

WTF are YOU talking about. Have fun living in your house and never leaving b/c you can do everything online now.

Sorry I like to interact with real people and watch movies on a screen bigger than my monitor.

you would be surprised how many people still call in and complain even when the terms and conditions are right there..

most of the time you are forced to remove the fees otherwise you may lose future clientèle with these tactics.

That's not even a good comparison.

It is known as a fact that words per minute read from a screen is much lower than reading from a book.

You would not say the same shit if I found you all the PDFs for your books for free.

Lol? Thought you were smarter than that.

Anyways. It's called easy access. Such moronic response from a typical "I'm a social girl". I've sure never heard that argument before.
What do you like about Blockbuster? The smell? The line? The price?

I might as well pay for a subscription and watch movies whenever the I want.

Lisa they're not doing the DVD thing here. Only streaming...

And I've been looking through the selection and it's not all that great but its still worth the 8 bucks... For now...

I also have it through my PS3 for the tv and I can watch on my iPhone...

I do agree about the books and magazines though...

You're an idiot. Open your eyes when you read. When did I compare how fast one can read on a screen compared to a book? MY PERSONAL PREFERENCE is to read a text book in hard copy b/c I don't like STARING at a screen. Plus, I can bring a highlighted textbook into an exam, can I bring a computer? No. And it's funny you mention PDFs, b/c one of my profs gave us the textbook for free on CD. And I'm printing it out b/c I want a hard copy.

What the fuck are you talking about fake people?

And again, open your eyes:

And FYI, my biggest screen TV is not as big as my biggest monitor.

I find a lot of hidden gems that way.

When it comes down to it, it's called personal preference. You like staying at home and downloading movies, I don't. Deal with it. There was no reason to jump on me right from the start. I'm done with you, enjoy sitting in front of your computer screen 24/7.
