Its hard for me to explain without completely simplifying everything for myself. When I took out the cue button, the button itself is fine. It is the black button, that is connected to the main board, which the cue button touches when pressed seems to stiffened or possibly broken.
Was using the deck there, its very sensitive to the touch but working. Surely though one button breaking shouldn't stop every other button working? |
OK, that means you're talking about the microswitch on the control PCB assmebly underneath the actual button. That can get broken if you press the button too hard or if it has been worn out.
You'll probably need to replace that whole PCB and trying to fix just that microswitch is tricky and honestly not worth the labor time.
The part you need is the KSWB assembly, Part No. DWS1356. It should only cost you about 60Eur. There are a couple of screws that hold it in place and then just the ribbon connector to disconnect. Swap out the unit and put the buttons back in place. Job done.
I can't help with where to get the parts in Ireland so you^ll probably just have to go on the hunt but that link that was posted in this thread earlier seem to ship worldwide?
Let me know when you're going to do it and I'll talk you though it.
